The Chief's Visit to Australia 2010
Sir Lachlan enjoyed meeting up with his father's old car that safely resides in Melbourne. While the weather was cold in Williamstown, the reception was very warm from all those gathered to greet the Chief. Sir Lachlan and Clan Maclean members then took a leisurely cruise around Port Phillip Bay on the replica Endeavour tall ship. Sir Lachlan was warmly welcomed back at the Williamstown Docks and then unveiled a memorial to early Maclean settlers in Williamstown.
Sir Lachlan, Clan Members and guests were then piped back to the Seaworks Maritime sheds out of the Melbourne weather to enjoy an afternoon of piping, dancing and meeting fellow Clan Members. A formal function was held for Sir Lachlan that evening where there was the address to the haggis with its subsequent demise, the loyal toast and fantastic entertainment.
